Kevin Cross Antiques and Art (formerly known as Kevin Cross Studio) is an art and design studio located in Redding, Connecticut, that specializes in decorative painting and gilding as applied to interior furnishings.
We create traditional style decorative art, as well as East Asian style lacquer art. We also restore antique furniture, paint or re-paint furniture provided by a client, and collaborate with woodworkers and other artisans to fulfill custom furniture commissions.

Kevin Cross’s experience with restoration began years ago at a small marina on the San Francisco Bay, where he learned to refinish the woodwork on boats.
He soon developed an interest in restoring furniture and, following a growing desire to learn more about antiques, moved to New York City in 1977, where he began working for various antique dealers and restoration companies.
In 1987, Kevin opened his own painting and gilding studio in the Tribeca area of lower Manhattan. A subsequent move to a larger space in Soho also coincided with a change in direction, with the company placing a greater focus on creating custom painted furniture and decorative art.
After many years in New York, Kevin Cross Antiques and Art moved to its present location in Redding, CT
